Pedrokkio is live! And also alive :-)

YES! Pedrokkio went live and I felt alive!! My debut was in front of 12 children of 5 years old. In other words – the birthday party of my friend’s beautiful daughter.

I had gone through my routine in my head a few times, practiced parts of it but never done the entire routine. Still, I was not too nervous, I rather felt anticipation.
Because when it comes to young kids I am like them! Curious, excited, boundless, and energetic. Meet them sincerely and they will love you for it.

But since I had never performed live before, discovering my Pedrokkio personality firsthand was truly exciting in itself. The way I liked teasing them a little by laughing while telling “I have a ball, and you do noooot” was a fun reflection afterward, the way it just came to me.
To me, a clown needs to be kind so of course anything I do is with a glimpse in my eye 😉

Reflecting on my first show, Pedrokkio turned out to be a very kind yet teasing clown doing mime, juggling, flute, and a bit of dancing. I did not do a perfect show whatsoever, I dropped balls, played out of tunes, forgot lines but still, the way I kept going, interacting, and filling in the missing parts made me feel super content.
Of course, had it been a paying audience perhaps I would have felt different, who knows.
I also stayed around afterward, talking to the kids, showing some juggling, and munching some of the pop-corn I had brought along.

Sometimes life happens to you, we don’t have to come looking for it to happen. All we need is to trust our intuition that the signs, the opportunities that are presented do happen for a reason.
Being a birthday clown came to me as my first show and is now my entrance to being a performing clown and who knows where it will take me. All I know is that I truly loved what I was doing.
